The Mombasa County Hockey Association (MCHA) is a dynamic and thriving organization dedicated to the promotion and development of field hockey in Mombasa County. Founded in 2012 as Coast Hockey Association (CHA) before the implementation of the Sports Act 2013, which devolved the sporting from regional to county associations.
MCHA has grown to become one of the leading field hockey entities in the region, albeit with a lot still to be done, fostering a love for the sport and providing exceptional opportunities for players of all ages and skill levels.
At MCHA, we believe in the power of sports to inspire and transform lives. Our mission is to create a positive and inclusive environment where players through their affiliates can flourish both on and off the field. We strive to instill values such as teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, and dedication among our members, fostering personal growth and building character.
Our association caters to a wide range of participants, from beginners to seasoned players, and we also provide sessions led by experienced and certified coaches who are passionate about the sport and dedicated to unlocking the potential of the region. Through umpiring, coaching, regular practice sessions, and even supporting some of our players to undertake national team training and develop the necessary techniques and game strategies to excel in field hockey.
